    For example if I click the link (which I think is to link to the new users introduce yourself thread)
    in GrumbleDook's reply in this thread -

    - I get sent to the Edugeek home page instead. This happens to me all the time.

    Hope someone can help.

    It's because the link is invalid these days (several years old) and all invalids land on the main site.

    You're right that at some point the Admins of the forum will prune posts after a certain age, although that link does work fine for me. I'd try deleting your browser cache.

    Are people clicking the link in the OPs post rather than looking for Grumbledook's post within the linked thread and using that link? (IE, the link I posted above)

    Which makes sense as tazz was referring to the link on a particular post within the thread he linked to. The link I have posted is that link.

    It looks like a legacy bbs link.
