24th November 2009, 12:19 PM #18 We have plenty of money for a new hosted server so don't worry about that. Shaun assures me that once he's identified the best host for us we can be migrated in very little time. The thing is we need to get this right first time as there are initial costs involved with any server lease. In the future we will most likely have our own box in a co-lo somewhere near Shaun

I was not aware of that...
Colo options:
I have looked into the route of us buying a server and installing it in a colo somewhere but colo is quite expensive anyway by comparison to renting a server and you have to maintain the hardware but it is ideal in a way.
Host options:
We have several options right now for a host but like Dos says its not a case of money as such, more just a case of getting the right host for the job.

24th November 2009, 01:46 PM #26 Also, when it coems to a server for ourselves it would be more prudent to get a 'newer' model, or even a brand new one given the low hardware costs these days.
