Default Adverts slowing down loading?
Has a new ad provider been signed up or something, as the adverts on the iSpy page seem to slow down the loading hugely - in fact it doesn't seem to be dynamically updating at all, as the last item was posted at 4:08 according to my list, but the new posts has one at 4:37.

They also are inappropriate - for example a 'Mate1' advert with a semi-nude woman. Or a big ad with flashing 'Somebody has a crush on you'.

I am all for adverts but these are just that little step too far. This batch detracts from the professional nature of the site.

I've attached some examples...

EDIT: And now we have some that make noise too!!! There is one making bing bong noises!!!

The thing is this will but many users will be in a situation. How can I access the site from school now I know this sort of thing might come up?

AFAIK we have never had adverts like this... has anybody else noticed them?

Hmm... I have AVG Anti-virus, AVG Anti-Spyware and Comodo Pro Firewall with Defense plus all running. But I'll do some other scans to double check.

right. I've just found out AVG had updated itself, disabled itself and not told me that it needed a reboot. So, it is likely that I have something. I'll delete the images!

heh, i've found some stuff on my machine now. Amazing, the AV was only down for 10 minutes, and I was only on here and Digg. Weird.

Agreed with that, Avast is much better and still free - avast! antivirus software - computer virus, worm and Trojan protection by ALWIL Software
