    adding url for avater

    When try to add this url as an avater

    I believe it's because the URL doesn't have an image extension, if that makes sense. Therefore vBulletin doesn't like it.

    http://www.gravatar.com/avatar.php?g...532d85a3d8395a compared to http://serve.edugeek.co.uk/images/vbulletin/logo.jpg for example. The EduGeek link is a link to an actual image whereas the gravatar link above links to an image ID.

    That mans got it in one, the answer is use the link and put a .jpg on the end of it and voilla it works

    vBulletin is smarter then that. You can tag the extension but it probably still wont work as there is a header sent by the server that says if the url has been through a php engine. Sending of the header can be disabled though but only if they have set it up correctly.
