Has anyone else found that it takes longer to load threads since the addition of the Digg frame?

It's taken me longer than usual to load the thread and in the status bar it says waiting for www.digg.com. I'm using Firefox, the latest version.

Yes, Adblock Plus and Greasemonkey. I have to keep refreshing because it seems to just hang.

I'm using FF + AdBlockPlus and I'm not having the above problem. So you can rule that out as being the cause.

Can you try disabling greasemonkey?

No difference with Greasemonkey disabled.

I've just tried pinging www.digg.com and the average round trip time is 206ms compared to Google which has an average round trip time of 60ms. That would explain why it's taking a while to load threads.

It seems to be loading a lot quicker today although a disabler would be good.

If it is just that image, hosting it locally on the site would also resolve the speed issues for when digg is heavily loaded.

Nah it pulls a javascript which draws the digg parts. I am looking at delaying the javascript loading until the rest of the page has loaded.
