When you hit "post quick reply" how long does it take before you are redirected to the updated thread?
I have a theory actually but testing it will involve reducing site performance by removing server nodes.

    I haven't been redirected.

I just get "This forum required you wait 30 seconds between posts. Please wait another 29 seconds." Or something similar.

What @X-13 says - it takes me to the Advanced Post page with the message about not posting too quickly and my post content present. If I go back and refresh the thread page the post has appeared though. I'm never redirected anywhere.

If I go advanced it seems fine. (He says, hoping he won't be proved a liar.) (Edit: was not proven a liar, advanced reply is fine.)

On the post above, it told me I couldn't post again for 27 seconds, but it hadn't taken 3 seconds to load the page after submitting my quick reply.

Well this thread has been pretty consistently problematic for me.

    EDIT: but seems fine now

Double edit: but happened again for me posting for the first time in Are you a stereotypical geek?
