22nd February 2013, 01:33 PM #1 Loading the app via post updates in the Notification Bar crashes app
If I pull down the notification bar on my iPad and look at the lists of update notificatiosn for the Edugeek app, I can tap on one of them to load the app and go to the post, but the app crashes after about a second of being on the main logo screen.
If I load the app directly, it works just fine.
New iPad running iOS 6.1.2.

22nd February 2013, 03:15 PM #2 There is an iOS update, might be worth seeing if that helps?
I used to get it, but more recently it has stopped.

Already on the latest version of the app (v1.19.21?). I get it every single time.

22nd February 2013, 03:54 PM #4 Thanks for the info, bizarrely apple has not logged any crashes yet from users which goes to show how good that is lol.
A new build 1.19.22 is making its way through the store now, I was hoping it would be out today but it looks like Monday now.
1.19.22 only updates a few sdk's which may help but its hard to say.
I am just trying to recreate the problem but I only have an ipad 1 which is nerfed for updates now.

I mean an update to the iOS software itself. The latest is 6.2

Nope, 6.1.2 is the latest according to my software update check?
"iOS 6.1.2. Your software is up to date."

22nd February 2013, 04:49 PM #7 Delete the edugeek app and re install it, try again ?
If not then maybe reset settings for network and try again, if still the same then might have to reset all settings without erasing data and try again.
Not sure how much difference this will make but maybe worth a try clearing all history / website data etc etc from Safari, closing safari and try again ?
Not sure if it relies on any of the website data or history / cookies / cache etc ??

22nd February 2013, 07:57 PM #11 Recreated on 1.19.22
I will let you know when we have a fix. It doesnt clear the notification at least so you could manually launch the app then click the notification as a work around for now.
If I get a fix before 1.19.22 is published I will pull that build and restart the review process.

22nd February 2013, 11:06 PM #12 Glad it's been Replicated. Not a huge issue I know but I'm sure you'd like the app mostly bug free.

26th February 2013, 08:12 PM #14 I am testing a new version 1.19.23, this and a profile issue appear to be fixed. 1.19.23 is going through the approval process now, expect it in around 6 days probably.
