The fresh (aka no previous data) test of 1.8 is now live.
Once bukkit released a 1.8 version I will test that and we can consider if we want to stay fresh world or restore the old one?
Post bugs here.

I, perhaps foolishly, presumed there would be spawn area protection.

If the old world doesn't end up getting used anymore, would it be possible to get a copy of it? I've become a little bit attached to some of the things i've built in that one.

Hehe spawn area does have limited protection but I *think* tnt etc still work and also the protected area is a 20x20 area around.

Yep but note you will need a copy of 1.7 probably to run it. I am also looking at options to copy things across, its that or I do a weekend special (post 1.9) where I enable people creative mode for a few hours to get a start in the fresh world.

Does it actually require a full reset? 1.9 was supposed to be out 2 days ago but then again this is MC.

25th September 2011, 12:31 PM #11 It'd be good if we could all arrange a couple of group 'new world, new build' gaming times, so we could work as a team, and maybe build a town or something. Maybe even fraps it and stick it on youtube?
