    Joomla 2.5 Template

As I said in a different post (EduGeek Package for Joomla 2.5?), I have been working on a template for a website that is being redesigned using Joomla 2.5.1.

I was wondering if it would be any use to people if I tried updating/making a Edugeek Joomla 2.5 template like @SYSMAN_MK did for Joomla 1.5.

Is this something that Edugeek members would like? If so, let me know and I will see what I can do (I've got a lot of spare time on my hands at the moment)

Oh yes please! I'd definitely be interested here! Trying to get in to Joomla, but just finding it a tad daunting! :P

Me too me too ... very exciting ... we need to revamp our website in a few months time so was planning on looking into starting on this in March / April ... Most appreciated.

An upgrade would be great ... but tbh we would probably just start from scratch rahter than upgrading as I've never had much fun trying to get an upgrade to work properly!

Funnily enough I was just thinking about this also as we really need to upgrade so we can delegate tasks to the office

So by the sounds of it, it would be a useful think if I did try and make a new Edugeek Template for Joomla 2.5. Will see what I can do for you all

Steve, I thank your generosity in looking at this for 2.5. Are you planning to make the template resemble the current one so those using the 1.5 version can continue their site at 2.5? Or is this going to be a different looking template entirely?

I will try and make the template like the current 1.5 template. I will also try and make a few different ones as well. I've just made 1 for a site that I have site up, so could change that a bit to make it for a School.

    Hi Steve,

(This may be a bit cheeky!) Do you have any idea when you might have this available? I am currently developing a site for a school using the 1.5 version, however as we know the access control in 1.5 is very limited so I am needing to go-live with 2.5 (hope this makes sense!).

    Best wishes,

    Adam.

Ive been asked to knock something up but im a bit wary of starting with the 1.5 template if a new 2.5 version is around the corner

I've knocked together a 'mock' site just to show management and the staff but I will soon be implementing this into a live environment and would rather do that on version 2.5 as it has many enhanced features over 1.5, mainly the security features are better

Sorry that I have been a bit quiet over the last week. I have been on holiday. Hopefully this week, I will get somewhere with the Joomla 2.5 template.
