EduGeek Template
I have downloaded the template and went through the admin side of Joomla to extensions and tried to upload it through that interface
It wouldnt upload
Can I do it that way or do I have to ftp it ?

28th April 2010, 08:47 AM #2 I'm sure there will be many more expert replies than this coming but essentially you need it to be hosted on a Linux server. FTP it and then go to the URL you have allocated it and it will then run through the installation for you.

I think that the problem may be that the Edugeek package is a full Joomla installation, not just a template. If I am wrong, I apologize.

Sounds like you have Joomla already installed and want to upload the Edugeek template. If so, what you need to do is unzip the Edugeek Joomla zip file that you have downloaded, then go into the templates folder and FTP the folders called axe_rescheek_blue, axe_rescheek_green, axe_rescheek_orange, axe_rescheek_red to your hosting and make sure they are in the templates folder. Once that is done, you will see them listed under Template Manager in the Administration area.

Same issue
I believe I need to do this as well, I have the file unzipped, and I just don't know how and where to put it. Where do I find the templates folder?

When you have extracted the Zip Folder, Browse to \site\templates and the templates are listed in there.
then once you have installed your Joomla Site, You need to FTP the Template to the same directory on the server /www/templates
