    New website

Just pressed the big red button to make this go live:

Stockport Grammar School, Cheshire, independent school near Manchester

If you don't see a website with a nice big slideshow at the top and a story about Sixth Formers attending a medicine taster day underneath it, then you're looking at the old website. Try again tomorrow, maybe.

I've noticed a couple of issues since it went live literally half an hour ago (like the 'error on page' in IE, although I know what's causing that and will fix it tomorrow), but do your worst - I'm open to constructive criticism.

A big thanks to all involved in creating the EduGeek Package, and to anybody who's offered support on here since I started it back in January.

Not had chance to look through all the pages but it's good. I like the design, I'm using IE 8 and it's worked absolutely fine.. good job !!

Good design; but it doesn't appear to validate though.

Cheers for the compliments gents. I'm really pleased with the whole thing.

Nice indeed - you might want to change the favicon to your crest instead of the default joomla one sometime...

I like it! Looks good and smooth. As said Favicon needs changing.

    My only personal gripes are
    - Where you have a image in a module, the background is set to white, creating a box with the blue tint.

    - I don't like how the slideshow takes a while to load, meaning I could start to read the content only to have the slideshow move what I was reading down once it's finished loading.

p.s I'm jelous of that climbing wall!!! been a while since i've been a while since I've had a chance to climb.

You do know that having horizontal scrolling text is the website equivalent of wearing shell-suits and won't appeal to your target audience

And if you think it looks OK- your wrong - ditch it now

    regards

    Simon

    Is it gone yet?

    Nice one

Did you put the latest 1.5.15 patch on?

Thanks all. I'm slowly moving through the fixes you've suggested, although the news ticker is staying*.

*For now, at least. At least I've not used <marquee></marquee> tags.

I can't see this at my end, or any other monitors I've tested it on. Which bit exactly has got a blue tint?

Nice, but when I load the site it does a funny wobble when the scrolling picture loads and then goes into compatibility mode.
