Hello all,
This is just a heads up really. Upon installing Snow Leopard Server and adding our Joomla Website to it, i found that Apple have updated PHP to version 5.3 Now Joomla doesn't currently run on PHP 5.3 and so needs a patch to make things work again. This patch as far as i can find is still currently in beta.
The issue i faced was that the main menus were not displayed on the home page and they were not visible in the back end either although the menu stated that there were 34 items.
Upon installing the patch located here
If anyone knows of a patch that has been made available for production i would love to know, but until then this seems to work for the majority. I haven't noticed any issues as of yet.
Hope this helps someone else.

Hello... is this an actual patch, or does it install Joomla from scratch? How do I fix just the menu issue? Thanks...
JP
This was a patch. I think it has since been integrated into the main updates. I would check to see if a fresh install using the latest update works. If not then you could try the patch I mentioned above. Also, be aware that there seems to be conflict with the admin interface in Joomla and the vacation notices, password reset tools etc of the OS X mail tools. I think it is down to the Mootools that each system uses.
