    Setting article format

I'm playing with Joomla this evening after a gap of a few months and am having problems getting two pages to display the same.

If you look at the home page and choose the option to: Click here to see the 2009 - 2010 Term Dates you will see a page with a table. I'm trying to get this page to look like this format:

    School Aims

I have set the page as a single article but it doesn't seem to work.

In the same way - back on the front page. If you click on 'Click to download letters and forms' you get taken to this page:

    Letters and Forms

Note the formatting is missing compared to when you access it through the 'Parents' menu at the top of the home page.

I'm confused as to why the same page would have different formatting depending on where you accessed it from.

It's bound to be something obvious,

    GJE

You mean the side menus missing? You need to create a link to the page whilst the menu is still there.

It is in the menu options. You can say where the menu will appear or not. Go to Extensions > Module Manager and select the module that has the name of your menu. In there will be a list box of all the areas you have set up and you can say the menu appears on all, none or certain ones.

Yup but if the article doesn't appear on any of the menus, then it won't appear on that list. The way I get round this is either as above or adding them to a hidden menu that doesn't get published.

*My mistake they all appear, just set them in the module manager.
