    Joomla Blogging

I'd like the headmaster and the head prefect of our school to have their own blogs (We have only 5 users on our joomla site) I would like the head to be able to write a blog and publish it but the head prefect I would like to be able to write it but another user would have to okay it, is this something that exists or could be written?

We use the free version of IDoBlog which the head logs into and updates himself.

Joomla core has this functionality sort of, although it would allow the head to publish into which ever catagory he liked (not something i'd worry about), and the student to put (unpublished) articles into which ever catagory he liked.

What you need to do is create a section called 'blogs', then catagorys in it called 'head blog' & 'student blog'

Create two user accounts one with author status and one with publisher status.

create a menu item with the 'article/form' type and only visable to 'special users'

create two menu items with 'catagory/blog' type and link to the catagorys you made earlier

when they log on they will be able to submit articles to the catagorys you made. The student will be allowed to submit but you will have to approve by publishing it (I also recommend removing his ownership of the article too), and the head will be able to submit articles published.
