In an attempt to extend the menus, I have created new articles in article manager, editted the menu for curriculum and editted the main menu to include the articles. Problem is when i click on the ones i have added it only displays the article and loses the navigation down the side.
an example would be clicking on 'the curriculum' > 'art', where the curriculum menu displays down the side, and then clicking on 'the curriculum' > 'drama', which I added, and the curriculum menu goes.
site address; Rydens School
does anyone know how i can make it so the curriculum menu appears for all the articles in the menu?
thanks!

In the menu options where you set the position. There is a box bottom left with all you articles in it you should see the pages that you created after the menu not highlighted. Just select what pages you want that menu on

I cant seem to find 'the menu options where you set the position', could you direct me how to get to that page? I have tried all the cchoices in the 'menu' drop down but cant find the area you have described, sorry!

I may not have been too clear, When you create a menu in joomla use use a module called mod_mainmenu to set which pages this menu appears on you need to go into the module properties (see image)
In the menu assignment box select the select menu item from the list then you need to highlight which pages you want the module to appear on
