We Need Help - School Website & docman..
Hi I have been given the task of updating our website from a being written in powerpoint (yes I did say powerpoint
.) It hadn't been updated in nearly 5 years.....
So after a quick think and many hours googling we have decided to use EduGeek Joomla 1.5 Package. Installation went great.
The head would like to add files to download for Parents and Staff. We want to use docman but can't install it.
Any help/advice would be gratefully recieved
Many thanks Sian

25th January 2009, 01:06 PM #2 No docman is not 1.5 native. There is a couple of document management addons that I know of IONfiles and phoca download. But there is no front end adding of files which I think you get with docman

Hi,
What exactly is the error with docman.
There are some issues with this extension and you may have to extend your timeouts in your server to get it to work.....
If it's an error on loading of docman please let us know what that error is.

I have switched to 1.5 native. I replaced docman with Remository, which I am enjoying. It allows for dront end uploading, which is nice, because we can have clerical staff post files.
