    Hi Folks,

Got a question, im very new to Joomla, and im in the process of developing a new school website,

I want to be able to email parents when our "Documents and Letters" page is updated. Does anyone think this is possible?

    Ta, Mart

You could set up a page for them to submit emails to you and then create a mailing list to email them all.

By inserting some reasonably simple custom PHP in the docman code you could generate an email to a mailing list that could be forwarded to all your parents.

However, as a parent, I don't think I'd be too chuffed to be receiving an email because someone changed a comma in a pdf file

Maybe better to manually initiate an email as and when really required

    regards
