link menu item to pdf file?

is it possible to link a menu item directly to a pdf file? i have the schools mission statement in pdf format.. and so when i click on Mission Statement from the menu i want it to open the pdf file..

any ideas?

Yep

If you go into the menu you want using the menu manager. Then add the direct URL. I have done this a few times on my school site.

hmm... just tried that..but i get a box asking me to open download or cancel.. when i click on the link..

Click on the term dates at the bottom see if you get it then. What OS and browser are you running?

its ok.. i managed to resolve it.. dont think i followed your instructions correctly..

i created a new docman page and copied the the 'view' shortcut..and pasted that as a direct url..
