    Re: Edugeek Joomla Package Released

    I was just going through a test install again and can't work out where this applies to in the online install documentation

    Highlight the "make unwritable after saving” box
    (2nd last instruction)

    And, at the start, it still says it can't write to configuration.php and towards the end of the install I have to create configuration.php by hand and then cut and paste the code into it - could we not have a bit of jam and have the file already there please

    regards

    Simon

    yeah... the server went down due to a heat pump in the datacenter failing and the servers in the affected area being shutdown.

    Took a couple of hours but it's back up now..

    Hummmmm i see what you mean, I'll remove the reference.

    This differs depending it seems on the web server. I should be able to include a blank configuration.php but this will still have to be made writable before the install.

    I'll add it to the list for the next update

    Re: Edugeek Joomla Package Released

    This is great, but Firefox 2 seems to have trouble displaying some of the styles, in particular, warning and download.

    Anybody else experiencing this problem?

    Steve

    Edit:

    Firefox 1.5 also has trouble as shown in this screenshot ...

    One more edit:

    The problem seems to be with the red, green and brown templates, but not the default one. Anyone got an idea?

    Re: Edugeek Joomla Package Released

    It's a CSS issue. It seems I didn't update all the templates css for FF.

    Goto line 799 of the template_css.css file and replace the Alert Styles code with this:

    Code:
    /* !--Alert Styles */

    .warn {
    	display: block;
    	padding: 10px 10px 10px 50px;
    	margin: 15px 0;
    	color: #c00;
    	border-top: 3px solid #fe7b7a;
    	border-bottom: 3px solid #fe7b7a;
    	background: #fac6c6 url(../images/warn.png) 10px 50% no-repeat;
    }

    .info {
    	display: block;
    	padding: 10px 10px 10px 50px;
    	margin: 15px 0;
    	color: #0055BB;
    	border-top: 3px solid #629de3;
    	border-bottom: 3px solid #629de3;
    	background: #c6daf0 url(../images/info.png) 10px 50% no-repeat;
    }

    .notepad {
    	display: block;
    	padding: 10px 10px 10px 50px;
    	margin: 15px 0;
    	color: #B79000;
    	border-top: 3px solid #fde179;
    	border-bottom: 3px solid #fde179;
    	background: #f9eec6 url(../images/notepad.png) 10px 50% no-repeat;
    }

    .download {
    	display: block;
    	padding: 10px 10px 10px 50px;
    	margin: 15px 0;
    	color: #57861A;
    	border-top: 3px solid #c2df88;
    	border-bottom: 3px solid #c2df88;
    	background: #e2eecb url(../images/download.png) 10px 50% no-repeat;
    }

    /* !--end */
    I will be updating the package with all the minor updates next week, plus adding the option of setting the background of the module next to the flash banner via style suffix so that it can be used for other things.

    Thats due to JCE using the sites background image as the background for the input box. Am looking into it

    Re: Edugeek Joomla Package Released

    How?

    Re: Edugeek Joomla Package Released

    Make a copy of the template css file and rename it jce_css.css. Leave this file in the CSS folder of your template folder ie:

    templates/eg_default/css/jce_css.css

    Edit this new css file, and change the body tag with the following:

    Code:
    body{
    	margin: 0px 0px 0px 0px;
    	background: #ffffff
    	text-align: center;
    	font-family: Verdana, Arial;
    	color: #000000;
    }
    Save the new file.

    Go to JCE Configuration in the JCE menu.

    Change the 'Template CSS Classes' setting to 'No'.

    In the 'Custom CSS Classes' type in the name of your new css file eg: jce_css.css.

    Hit Save.

    Re: Edugeek Joomla Package Released

    Sysman I would like to add my thanks for producing what looks to be a great site.
    I have one slight problem. I am running it locally as an intranet and there are a couple of php errors ie.
    Notice: Undefined property: title in E:\schoolweb\joomla\modules\mod_js_smoothgallery.p hp
    I am sure it is a simple setting that I have missed somewhere.
    any ideas
