    I am translating everything into Dutch. Most things are going well, but i can't find where to change the text of the headings on the pages. (see website).

    Most likely i am overlooking something, so a hint into the right direction will be appreciated once more.

    You made a fine website-tool for us schools.

    Edit: See i can attach a picture, did so. Frans

    Those headings are taken from the module names.. Rename the modules in the back end admin.

    Re: Edugeek Joomla Package Released

    Hello Sysman,

    Still working on my site. I have managed to get the header sorted and have uploaded new content to the smooth gallery and have edited a few pages for content. I have also uploaded some additional pics to the random images module. I was expecting the images to be surrounded with a border as per the ones in the article but they were not.

    I have uploaded pics of size 215x161. Do they have to be exactly 215x150?

    I have also tried to find the module to edit the settings for the random images but cannot find it. (i know its there, i have seen it before, but i have been searching for around 2 hours now and cannot see it!! ops: )

    If any one could point me in the right direction it would be cool.

    @HodgeHi

    The random images don't get borders created on the fly, they are jpgs with the border already done.

    As for the module it is in the backend admin "Random Image"

    Ok. So the borders are hand-made, i assume in photoshop or something alike. I managed to track down the location of the module, under believe it or not modules >site modules and in @ number 21.

    I have also noticed that you can add a CSS template to each individual random_image module. Would this then give me the borders on the fly?

    I would like it so i didn't have to manually create each border as i could then just use auto to re-size the images in one go i around 30 secs.

    Could i use the CSS striaght from the section in the content that is used to create the borders on those pictures as i ain't too hot on CSS (or anything for that matter from the looks of things :cry: )

    The following will give your random images the same border on the fly effect as those in your content.

    Add this code to the bottom of your css

    Code:
    /* random image border */

    div.moduletableframe{
    	margin: 0px 0px 10px 0px;
    	width: 224px;
    	height: 188px;
    	font-family: Arial;
    	font-size: 11px;
    	color: #666666;
    	background-color: #ffffff;
    	background-image: url('../js/wide_frame.png');
    	background-position: 6px 33px;
    	background-repeat: no-repeat;
    }

    div.moduletableframe h3{
    	margin: 0px 0px 10px 0px;
    	background-image: url('../images/moduletitlebg.jpg');
    	background-repeat: no-repeat;
    	background-position: 0px 0px;
    	padding: 4px 0px 0px 11px;
    	height: 41px;
    	margin: 0;
    	font-family: Arial;
    	font-size: 12px;
    	line-height: 19px;
    	font-weight: bold;
    	text-align: left;
    	color: #ffffff;
    }

    div.moduletableframe div{
    	font-family: Arial;
    	font-size: 11px;
    	color: #666666;
    	padding: 0px 10px 0px 10px;
    }
    Then edit the Random Image module settings

    The Random Image module MUST be set to 188px X 125px size ( actual images can be any size, the module will resize them)

    Enter frame in the Module Class Suffix

    Re: Edugeek Joomla Package Released

    Hi, first time poster - long time lurker 8).

    Can I firstly just say what a fantastic thing you have done by putting this together. It looks excellent and must be easy to setup because it has only taken me a couple of hours to download the package, install it and get the basic site up and running (www.rcln.net) on a spare domain name we have. All that and I only just discovered that joomla existed yesterday !!.

    We currently use another purchased CMS for our current website (www.clceston.com) but even though I have only had a days worth of experience with joomla I can say it looks like it compares very well. I can definitely see the potential for primary schools using this package without much tweaking to give them a professional site for zero cost and not much effort.

    The only thing I have come across so far that I have had a problem with is inserting flash content. I have managed to get a flash movie into a page but the way I managed it was not very elegant. Is there a module I can install that handles flash (swf, flv) ?.

    Thanks Sysman_MK and everyone involved that have put together a free package that puts expensive CMS solutions to shame.

    You're lucky, i've got to add all content myself because my line manage doesn't want heads of department uploading to the web site.

    Nothing like making my job more fun....... not.

    Re: Edugeek Joomla Package Released

    Just in case anyone noticed or there are any problems..

    The edugeek.joomla demo site got moved to a new server today (a whole other order of pain I don't want to go into).

    It should now be up but if any changes were made before 17:00 they may not have been transferred..

    Cheers all....
