    Re: Edugeek Joomla Package Released

    Hi, really impressed with this template just uploaded it all to use for the school, just wondering is it possible to remove the template switcher at the top? I've removed the template chooser on the left. Am I missing something obvious?

    Thanks.

    To remove the template switcher just remove the following code from the index.php file

    Code:

    Was there any update on this? I've just installed on a test server and am getting the same problem. Even after trying their 'solution' (editing a couple of other files) it doesn't work. Line 91 is:
    <?php }
    If I remove the '}' then I just get a blank page. Someone please help.....

    Thats an odd looking piece of code. it should surely be
    Code:
    <?php{
    but then again there should be somthing before it like a if or loop construct etc what are the couple of lines before and after?

    Still got the problem here. You' have to see the whole page Chris. If you fix that one another appears lower down, then you get on to the next error. It's either horribly broken or the environment is at fault I think.

    Re: Edugeek Joomla Package Released

    I'm really confused as to how to modify the header for the eg_default template. I can open the file in Photoshop but not make any easy changes. Is there a layered version of that file? There seems to be a layered version of the Rokwebify header in the ZIP but not one for this template. Please advise.

    Re: Edugeek Joomla Package Released

    Hiya guys. I would guess that the smoothgallery problem is a webserver / smoothgallery issue. I think bug fixing for it has gone by the by at Joomlashack. Still classed as a beta which is a real shame.

    On another note I have put together a kind of patch for users who have setup a site using the older package, but now want to use the new template. See http://www.edugeek.net/index.php?nam...=102650#102650 for more info.

    Also I have uploaded to the demo site a version of the next template I am creating for people to take alook at. Select rt_rokwebify_v2 from the template viewer. The plan is to create 5 colour themes, each in a dark and light version.

    Also plan to add a different kind of header. Rather than using smoothgallery I plan to have some kind of sliding header that will contain different modules that can house content.

    Many thanks for all the positive support. I am glad it has been such a help to folks here.

    So are you using 2003, Mark? Is anyone else using 2003 able to get into the Smoothgallery?

    Just use it on the OS it was designed to be on. IMO your only going to find another problem in the future, not worth the hassel for the sake of 5mins moving it over to a linux server
