    Right, Everything has now been updated and the package can now be downloaded. Either by the link on the first post of this thread or from the download link on the demo site.

    As always any questions just ask

    Any questions? What's the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?

    I'll get my coat ... it's the one waiting for an iPhone to be put in the pocket.

    Re: Edugeek Joomla Package Released

    I'm exposing myself as a total noob and apologies if this is the wrong place to ask this. I'm having problems with the final step of installation: make folders writable via FTP.

    I'm setting it up initially on a standalone computer running Apache. I've tried to FTP to localhost using various types of connection and password combinations with Filezilla without any success: "Login or password incorrect"

    I've also tried to take the tick out of 'read only' from Windows Explorer file properties but next time I look its marked again.

    Hope someone can give me a clue. ops:

    I have found a fix. You will need to edit your webservers php.ini file to change the error reporting setting. Set error handling as follows:

    Code:
    error_reporting  =  E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE & ~E_STRICT
    Restart and watch the message vanish.
    My hosting company will not allow changes to the php.ini file (as they claim it is a security risk) ... is there any other way of getting rid of this error message?

    @smnhicks

    Not that I know of. The message is a notice and is casued by having the webserver set to display notices.

    For everyone else, made some more changes to create a new theme for users to choose from. Looking for some feedback before I create some more colour themes.

    This has some the features of the previous one, but drops the colour switcher in favour of a size switcher.

    Size switcher is great SYSMAN

    Looks very good, and is quite an important feature really. Again.. can't wait!

    Just messing setting up a couple of the themes on our test site. It's sort of pick and choose from the templates at the moment. I love the black menu bar and then we want a dark blue and maybe yellow scheme.

    Impossible to please everyone with the colour schemes I think. Good job the theme is so well documented over at Rocket theme!

    How do you swap a swf for the logo.png?

    Mark

    I have only ever added a swf as a header image by hard coding the js_flashrotator module into the index.php.

    This gave the flaxability to change the images via the Joomla admin section.

    Probably not much use if you have a premade swf file.
