not sure what my problem is here but can't get past step 1

Host Name ********** This is usually 'localhost'
    MySQL User Name *************
Either something as 'root' or a username given by the hoster
    MySQL Password *************
For site security using a password for the mysql account is mandatory
    MySQL Database Name *************
Some hosts allow only a certain DB name per site. Use table prefix in this case for distinct Joomla! sites.
    MySQL Table Prefix jos_

any help as what to put in place of *****

    Re: Edugeek Joomla Package Released

I think I've sorted my problem... I did a new installation and compared the two - looks like I'd been tinkering and accidentally removed the "user6" entry from module positions. Silly me. I put it back and everything seems ok now.

    Thanks for your help Sysman.

Kevski, you need to set up a database and database user at the back-end of your webserver before you proceed with the installation, e.g. in PHPMyAdmin. Host Name will likely stay as localhost, and the database name, username and password will be whatever you set up when you create the database. Table prefix field can stay as jos_.

    Hope that helps...

If you browse your content items in the back-end, you'll find School Newsletter and Term Dates in there. If you edit those, you can change the links in the editor.

There are user menu items in the front end to change these. Just log on via the login button and use the links to open the correct content items. Then edit the links.

If you add administrator to the end of your site address

    i.e localhost\administrator

    should do the trick

When using the image editor to insert an image change the border to 1 and the colour to white (#ffffff)

    See attached pic for location.
