Default What do i need to do this? - Joomla

I'm after something maybe a module..that is a menu but when clicking on one of the items will just open up a small window with a table or list or image rather than going to a full blown content templated page.

Basically i want to list the school houses on the frontpage and have it so that on mouse click of each house a little window or something cool opens up to display the teacher members of the house. I'm thinking this is the best way but if anyone else has any good ideas for this type of thing then please share them with me.

It may be that there's already a module included in the Edugeek package but can't see this initially

You looking for something that looks like this?

Highslide JS - JavaScript thumbnail viewer

The thumbnail image and popup image can be different so might be what you need.

Isn't there something like that already included in the package? Under the install instructions first page?

I'm more after just a drop-down list which will display all members.

Any ideas? I would have thought this would be an included module for Joomla or is drop-down lists a thing of the past? The module "Content Lists" does what i want but this only displays a list of content under a category and doesn't allow custom lists but is the type of thing i'm looking for

That's a shame I had this as part of my old intranet which was created in Macromedia and looked very nice. It was very simple to create and thought would be a standard addition to all web authoring packages but i thought wrong

This is the closest thing i can currently find. Just mouse over the demo menu no the right Content Links List Demo*-*JOOMLA.NZ

I'm more after something i can just add the relevent information rather than linking to content items

Not yet. I did have an idea but it wouldn't work. I'll keep thinking.
