Quick Joomla Install Question
I've just set up a new 2003 server to play with joomla on and I've come unstuck already. I've got IIS installed and then put the latest PHP on.
When I was asked which webserver I wanted to use during the PHP install I choose IIS Isapi and have also tried IIS CGI but when I create a php test file it just says the page cannot be displayed, the IIS under construction page works correctly though.
Is there something obvious I'm missing? I've done bits of HTML and CSS in the past but I'm pretty much learning as I go as far as this is concerned.

Re: Quick Joomla Install Question
Thanks for that, works like a charm, only problem I have now is that the page displayed incorrectly everywhere except the server.
I assume I've not configured something properly?

You need to edit the configuration.php file of the joomla install so that the live site points to the address you use to access the servers from your workstations. So after looking at your screenshot yours would need:
Code:
$mosConfig_live_site = 'http://ews';

Re: Quick Joomla Install Question
thanks for that, its working great now.
Now I just need to find the time to edit it. Hiding in a cupboard with a laptop is probally the only way

Yeh that is the fun bit. I always find copy and paste from the school prospectus helps

Re: Quick Joomla Install Question
I'm not even sure we have a prospectus, I'll have to make some calls.
Possibly the silliest question you'll have been asked yet but where's the section to change the school logo? Its been one of those days
