Easiest way to do this is to download the installer from here, then also install something like UniExtract.
Right click on the GoogleEarthWin.exe file and choose 'Uniextract to subdir'. This will then extract it all, and in the resulting folder are the files and the msi. Stick the entire folder on your deployment share, and set up your group policy to use that msi, and transform it with the 1033.mst file.
Thanks for reply i have this and all it gives me is a
102 file??
No other files
What do you mean you did that? I just did it on my machine and it gave me a folder called 'GoogleEarthWin' with 109 objects in (a pile of mst files, a pile of ini files, a couple of folders, an msi and an exe file).
I downloaded file from the website you said.
Downloaded Uniextract and then right clicked on .exe, extracted to c:/temp
and all it gives me is a file called ~102?
Thanks
Just grab it from @Michael here : Google Earth 6.0
Edit: Use winrar to extract it, there is an MSI etc.
Did you install uniextract? I'm at a loss as to why you're not getting the same output as I am.
It has worked from the second download, i can only reason i can thing the first link did not work is becasue it was not zipped?
Thanks for your help just need to test it VIA GPO
Uniextract should have been able to extract that .exe file just fine, as it is basically an executable .7z file.
Glad you've got that working though.
