Educational Database Software

Hi all,

I've been asked by a teacher to recommend some software she can use to teach her class about database forking. I'm aware there are various open source offerings out there such as SQL, etc., but I'm a bit concerned that this may be a little complex.

Can anyone suggest anything fairly simple (and, surprisingly, preferably free) that I can have a look at?

What's this "forking"?

Sounds like a branching database?! Take a look at FlexiTree. It does a decent job for primary level and above.

Good site license prices, if I remember rightly...
