What is it that they hate? In my opinion it's the best on the market. How much training have they had?

In answer to your question though. SMART usually don't let you run their software on a competitors board. Which country are you in? You might be able to get a special licence if you ask the resellers.
Easiteach Next Gen is available for use on any board and is actually OK. It's about the same standard as SMART now but with a lot smaller on-line community and resource base as it's so new.

What kind of things are your teachers hoping to achieve with the software?

Some of them hate it? the majority hate it?

If it's what the school has invested in then it's unfortunate for those that don't like it but I woudl suggest they spend some time with it or doing some training on it.
