Macro error when running Word where Adobe CS3 installed
We are seeing an issue in Microsoft Word on any of the computers where Adobe CS3 is also installed. When you open up word, you get the following error message:
The function you are attempting to run contains macros or content that requires macro language support. When this software was installed, you (or your administrator) chose not to install support for macros or controls.
This comes up a few times as you launch Word and you keep clicking OK until it goes away. Using Word and saving work is OK, then when you close Word you get the same error message once more. Click OK, and try close Word again, and you get the following error:
Changes have been made that affect the global template, Normal. Do you want to save those changes?
[Yes] [No] [Cancel]
Click no and Word then closes.
It seems to be tied to the 'disable web and VBA features' setting in active directory. If you enable that setting to disable these (which we have done with our students for security reasons), then it seems as though Adobe CS3 has some integration features with Office which turning these settings off kills.
RM Support have drawn a blank on this, I was hoping someone might have seen this issue or have some suggestions?
