rm successmaker install

I am about to install rm successmaker, we lost our original install with the failure of a server earlier this year (well documented elsewhere) anyway after speaking to RM I am none the wiser on the install (but they can send an engineer to do it :lol: )

Someone here must have done an rm successmaker install or even better know where I can find some install documents.

There's full documentation on the RM support site. I've always found the SuccessMaker support people really helpful.

If there aren't the relevant documents on the website I have a set.

Trouble is they are paper based but I could photocopy them and post them?

Thats because they get a lot of practice.

ajbritton I'm looking at the support site right now but I can't see any info on a fresh install, I might be going blind so could you please point me to it.

plexer do they have a referance no maybe like TEC28xxxx if so could you post the ref no ...thanks

Dunno mate not from what I can remember as they were left with me after RM installed it.

There is a category in the knowledge library on the following path;

Educational Software \ SuccessMaker \ SuccessMaker Enterprise \ Installation & Setup

Try the documents relating to moving the system to another server.

A little update...... after trying for all this time nearly 4 weeks I have finally got the correct document from RM although it has taken many phone calls

i googled up a 1.4 install pdf on a canadian pearson site which i used to do my install recently. there was no sign of any UK documentation anywhere. worked a treat tho. had to phone up and get a new ilc file and serial cos we'd lost them but once you get thru to the real tech support ppl they're very helpful.

Had to do a clean install here during the summer, lets just say they're not the easiest of people to get an answer from!

Got sent all new media, and a clean install guide at no cost to us since we pay the annual fee.

All up and running happilly now!

Just shout up if you're struggling. 8)
