Updating Smartboard software across the network

We install Smartboard software on all staff laptops as part on the RIS image. Our downfall is when they get notified by the software that there is a update available.

The staff are not allowed to download anything while on the Internet and have no access to the c:drive to install anything while on the network.

Is there any way to deploy the update across the network to the laptops via GPO.
If you do a fresh admin install of the newer version via GPO does it over write the current one or does it install a separate version,

Any advice?

It should install over the old version I would have thought. It would need a little tweaking with an MST to stop it nagging about updates. Im sure someone could help you with that.

Beware: I thought the latest was a *major* update and unlike the old one the library stuff comes separately etc.

The latest update is actually a bugfix to the first 9.5 issue. Normally you would have to remove any old installation before installing the new but the bug fix update can be installed over a current version of 9.5
