Our SchoolGuardian (SmoothWall Network Security: Web Content Filtering, Firewall, VPN, Anti-Spam and QoS SmoothWall Ltd.) prevented the The RSPB site from displaying properly, it looks like it stripped the css. I added it as an exception and it worked. Edit: I disabled security in smoothwall for CSS crossite scripting and it seemed to fix that bit
The still files don't load because they are going via http://uk.sitestat.com/ and a message displays "advert blocked"
IPCop here (linux)
Custom expression here "game" being the expressive word so i just put the url into our whitelist and no probs. :)
Works fine here (Dansguardian + Squid) as a kid/teacher. But yeah, the 12 mentions of "game" might be tripping proxies. Here it's balanced out by the positively scored content.
Thanks for all of the replies. Really useful information.
All the best,
Graham
Just a reminder that if you integrate ntlm with squid, then it is possible to set different black lists for staff and learners.
The NT group mapping does not seem to be well documented and for some reason took me a while to get working, although now it is working. I do not know why it took so long. LOL
