Softlink Oliver - Email Overdues
I am wondering if anyone can help us. I have set up the parameters for Oliver to email.
Interally this works fine. I can send an overdue from firstname.lastname@example.org to email@example.com without an issue.
Some of our staff\students however have other addresses in SIMS which Oliver is picking up, including gmail and hotmail.
When we try to send a test with these we get the following result.
Contents: hello, this is a test message.
Log: The email could not be sent to this user because their email address was invalid.
Entered: 1:09 PM on March 03, 2013
The Oliver server is set to relay through our Exchange 2010 box - which works for internal mail. I've even set up a permit rule to allow the IP of the Oliver server to relay through the exchange box.
It just appears that anything going out of our domain does not want to play ball.
Has anybody managed to set this up successfully? Any pointers at all would be appreciated.
The library are really keen on moving away from Paper based overdue notes and using email to save paper.
