AQA E-Science - Unable to load JVM library - Windows 7

    Hello everyone,

We have installed AQA E-Science onto our server using the server install. We are trying to get the client install to work but it keeps failing when we launch the e-science client with the following error -> "Unable to load JVM library"

Has anyone else experienced this problem, if so how did you go about solving it?

    Thanks and regards,

    J.Worth

We have had a similar problem [not with AQA E-Science but with the app that notifies students how much credit they have in PaperCut] When the PaperCut app tries to load we were getting the error message:

The program can't start because MSVCR100.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem
There was also an error about Java Virtual Machine that appeared at some times but not others.

I removed Java Version 7: Update 5 and re-deployed Java 6: Update 31. This resolved this issue for me.

What version of Java are you running?

We are running Java 7 update 5, but have contacted Nelson Thornes and they have sent a patch. We have also been sent some ISO links with the newest version of e-science.

This post helped me. Although installing various Java VMs didn't help, simply placing MSVCR100.dll, MSVCR71.dll and msvcp71.dll into c:\windows\system32 and running regsvr32 msvcr71.dll for each file fixed it. Got the DLL's online randomly.
