    Typing Tutor software?

I am looking for some typing tutor software that i can easily deploy to around 100 pc's in our domain.

I have had a copy of Mavis Beacon 8 but ran into all sorts of problems with it. I tried the fix below but did not have much luck either.

    Appdeploy Mavis Beacon

What do you use? I would prefer a free one but do have funds if i need to pay for licences. Deployment being the main issue here.

We used Tux Type at a high school I used to work at. The kids loved it.

Indeed - after visiting DB I installed it where I was and the kids loved it... they didn't even realise that it was educational!

Did you repackage this DB to deploy it?

I haven't tried. I don't work in a school anymore so don't put it on our network.

    Re: Typing Tutor software?

You don't have to with tuxtype. Just run the installer and tell it to install to a shared location on the network. Then setup your startmenu/desktop shortcuts however you normally do it. It will run fine from the network share without installing anything on the local machines.
