    Espresso not working with IE9

    Hi all,
I've recently upgraded our Vista machines to IE9 and since then I can't access Espresso content. Espresso still works fine on IE8 and Firefox, just not on IE9. So far I've:

Added that latest inetres.adm to group policy for all machines and users
Made sure that emd is on the proxy bypass list
    Restarted the espresso box

Has anyone else had similar issues? In IE9 i can see main espresso page but when I click on an item I can the image of the boy and dog saying 'please wait' and nothing happens

    Any help gratefully received!

Yes i have had this before. Just out of interest do you have sophos antivirus installed on the machine? As the issue was related to sophos. Let me know if you have and i will dig out the fix for you.

been using espresso on IE for a little while and seems to be fine.
have you tried updating flash just in case that is causing an odd issue?

Yes we do have Sophos anti-virus, if you could dig out the fix that would be great!

Flash player is all up-to-date. Thanks for the quick responses!

This was due to the web scanning in sophos and i got this fix from espresso direct. Our issues was that espresso loaded but if you clicked any content it would not work.

•Make sure site is in trusted sites via group policy and trusted sites zone set to low security

•Edit AV policy and goto authorization then click websites and add location into there
•Edit AV policy and under web protection turn download scanning off

Cheers guys, Did all three of those things and now Espresso is running fine on IE9 (saves me having to roll them all back to IE8)

Not wanting to hijack this thread - but what do you think of espresso? I'm about to do a trial of it, see if teachers like it, but what's the general feeling? Value for money?

The ks1 teachers love it, KS2 not so much. It integrates well with vles and staff can access resources from home. The one thing I begrudge is the maintenance charge, £250 per year. The idea of having a cache box to download stuff at night was genius. 15 years ago. Now with improved broadband it seems a little pointless. Though the boxes are super resiliant, only thing ive never had to fix!
