We current have GL Dyslexia Screener which is used by SEN to perform initial screening of pupils to identify if they may have dyslexia. Our SENCO has told me she is minded to replace it this year, and I'm not especially enamoured of it either, so we are looking for alternatives.
What does everyone else use?
We've heard of Lexion via these forums and have requested a trial. Are there any others we should look at?
Thanks,
AT

4th May 2011, 09:31 PM #4 Lexion is the one used by our SENCO. She did quite a bit of testing various things until she was satisfied. It's a small Swedish company and I had a long chat with them at BETT and they were very helpful. Our SENCO likes Lexion's ability to create exercises for the child to do after the asessment. These are saved to a memory stick to be done at home or school.

4th May 2011, 09:36 PM #5 Lexion here also. Quite a lovely bit of software! It was that infact that program which actually shown that I could have dyslexia. I went through some tests and found indeed that I did have it and I wasnt being "thick" (as my old english teacher said)
