Eclipse.net - DB restore to a new server

    hi there,

one of our servers which looked after allsorts including Eclipse.net died a few weeks ago so now I'm in the process of setting Eclipse up on a new server.

The software is all installed and now I'm at the point where I want to restore the database. Here's my problem, trying to restore the DB, I get the following error:

TITLE: Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio Express
    ------------------------------

Restore failed for Server 'KHS-MAIL-01\MLSECLIPSE'. (Microsoft.SqlServer.Express.Smo)

    ------------------------------
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

System.Data.SqlClient.SqlError: The operating system returned the error '5(error not found)' while attempting 'RestoreContainer::ValidateTargetForCreation' on 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.2\MSSQL\wbls.mdf'. (Microsoft.SqlServer.Express.Smo)

The school cancelled the support with MLS without telling me and the last day for support was yesterday! Argh!

Thanks in advance for any info/help!

When you re-installed the new Eclipse server I assume everything was fine with the Server Configuration tool and you used the same instance name and database name as the old server ?
When I moved our Eclipse.net to another server I set it up as a new install, then done a database restore from the old server and all was fine, if you pm me your email address I can send you a document on restoring a Eclipse.net backup.

Does the folder (C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.2\MSSQL\) exist?
