So we've recently been putting the new 'V2' 1.6 version of 2D Design on images and the like only to find an issue with our CNC machine:
Our Boxford CNC machine comes bundled with Techsoft Mill Design which it has to use as an intermediate step when transfering 2D Design files into Boxford's own software.
Unfortunately when you transfer from 2D Design V1.6 into Mill Design it detects that the version of 2D Design is newer than itself and refuses to talk to it!
I just rang TechSoft and they basicaly said there was no solution other than just staying with the old version of 2D Design for now! Great!
Just checking if anyone else has had the same problem, knows what's going on with it or knows something the nice lady on the phone doesn't - thanks!

I expect that the answer you got from Techsoft is correct they never seem to bothered about things like this or even things their software doesn't do that you'd like it to do.

In 2D Design V1.6, you need to select File>Export File, then change the file type to Design Tools Draw V1 (*.dtd). Mill design will read this.

Yep - that seems to work - many thanks for that!
Can't believe their own Support line told me there was no way around it! - SO glad I checked with you guys instead of just accepting what she said as the final word!
