Hello
I am running a piece of Sherston software called Izzy's Island on Windows 32 bit.
Upon loading the program distorts the screen resolution of the desktop but goes on to run anyway, however upon exiting the screen resolution does not correct itself and the desktop remains super large.
I've tried editing the options in the program to stop it running in full screen mode but it doesn't stick.
All ideas welcome.
Thankyou

15th February 2011, 01:00 PM #3 I haven't tried this one out yet but I'm hoping using Cameyo for these titles will stop it happening.
Worth trying out.
If it works/doesn't work - then please update the wiki

15th February 2011, 01:04 PM #4 Sted is right, this happens on quite a few Sherston titles, Tizzys Toybox springs to mind. I've also experienced it on XP so it isn't a W7 issue.
I don't have it any more but I once wrote an autoit script that wasn't too complex which launched the application, waited until the process no longer existed then set the screen resolution back to whatever was normal on that PC.
It was a dirty fix, but it worked.

16th February 2011, 11:32 AM #5 Hello
Thankyou for all of the suggestions.
The reason I thought it was a Windows 7 problem was because we have this software running on XP & Vista without problems.
I tried out this Cameyo virtualisation software which looks like it could be a very useful tool although it didn't work on this occassion.
For anybody who is interested I have now solved the issue:
Having installed Izzy's Island right click on the shortcut
Select properties
Go to the compatibility tab and run it in 98/2000 mode for all users
Thankyou
