Interesting, no mention on their website, I'll give them a call tomorrow.
It's about time the educational software market caught up with advances in education.
(be nice if some of them could keep up with advances in software too
I think this is the link, but cant decide if its just compatible with RM's Kaleidos or all VLE's.

I think from that its just RM Kaleidos that works with it, which is a shame, as I need some Sharepoint Goodies

Since Kaleidos is one of these approved VLEs it has to be SCORM compliant so in theory the content should work with other VLEs... unless RM have included a proprietry import scheme too.

Ah good point Ric, and Sharepoint Learning Kit (class-server replacment) is SCORM compliant so they should work with that then, that has me thinking....

I've just put one of Broadworks Maths discs on our server today for staff resources.
If any of the other stuff lying round that depts have purchased is anything to go buy then this probably wont get used much either.
I sometimes wonder if they buy this stuff just to use up their budget...........!

The reason for asking about Boardworks was because I want to get teachers using their IWBs for more than just writing words on a canvass - something for which a standard whiteboard and dry wipe marker will do much more cheaply
It just looked like a good way of giving majority of departments content in one go rather than spending forever and a day routing out individual titles for specific subjects. Having said that, if the content in boardworks is not very good, then perhaps more time and effort will be required to provide tailored content.

I was just trying to say it was expensive for a set of powerpoint presentations.
Some of our staff do use them, and find them very good - however I'd never buy the whole suite because some of our departments are very capable in creating their own resources.
Also you'll end up with the same colour schemes, look and feel for every resource in every subject. Might become a bit boring.

I spoke with someone from Boadworks, the "upgrade" they sell at the moment is only available for RM's Kalidos.
However after he spoke with the developers, he got back to me today and said that Boardworks will be working on a SCORM compliant product over the summer that will work on ALL VLE's. Hooray
