    Visual Studio 2008 Express Deploying

    Hi all,

    Wondered if anyone could help.

We need Visual Studio 2008 Express Edition for our GCSE and A-Level courses. The Express edition is free. The problem is we have 200 computers to put it on. We cannot seem to deploy it - it just fails to install.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how we can get around this.

    Thanks.

What options are you using to do it?

    Grrrrr

I managed to get the MSI extracted using:

    ixpvb.exe /q:a /c: "msiexec /i vs_setup.msi VSEXTUI=1 ADDLOCAL=ALL REBOOT=ReallySuppress /qn"

With the MSI I get the error that it must be run from setup. Screenshot of files and error attached.
