Blog Entries: 1 Rep Power: 55 | If you do have a home built MSI please do not publish direct links on EduGeek.net ... there are some issues with redistributing things like this and we are still trying to work out whether we can, and who has issues with it. In the meantime we recommend that you use the AppDeploy website for information about building your own packages. Sorry to be a Killjoy. |

Rep Power: 22 | You can share this from a network drive and it will work I believe. |

Rep Power: 0 | I've just done the old "copy the whole thing to the server and make a shortcut on everyones desktop to it" trick. Tested it on one machine and it works fine... not sure if it'll kick up a fuss if 30 kids try and use it or not, will wait and see. Cheers. |

Rep Power: 4 | For those that use a SketchUp MSI did you manage to get around the "Update to the latest version or incapacitate Sketchup" issue? |

Rep Power: 8 | Google SketchUp comes as an InstallShield package, so I got round the need for the MSI by recording the Installation log file and then deploying it with SCCM by pointing it to the log. The details on how to do it can be found here. Last edited by Zoom7000; 14-05-2008 at 11:05 AM.. |

Rep Power: 22 | I have and older version but I just copied the installed folder to a network share. So in theory you could just deploy that folder to machines. |
