Hi there,
I've got and odd issue with Sibelius 6 when using the licence server component. We've got 7 machine in our music lab (all XP) and I've just bought 4 more (win7). I uninstalled Sibelius 5 and all it's components from the machine and then installed Sib6. I wrote a little batch file that runs the installer with the command line switches to enter the licence key and IP of the licence server.
After installing the software the 4 new machine and two of the old one's connect fine. However 5 of the existing machine don't. In fact they try to go through the normal registartion process.
The server is running fine and I have enough licences. The log doesn't show any activity, it's like the clients are not connecting... The machines can all ping the server, there's no firewall but I just don't know why it won't work.
Anyone had anything similar or could suggest anything?

3rd November 2010, 09:10 AM #2 There are a few licence keys that Sib 6 uses. Check these out and see a) if they exist b) if they contain the correct details.
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sibelius Software\Sibelius 6\ApplicationPath]
@="C:\Program Files\Sibelius Software\Sibelius 6\"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sibelius Software\Sibelius 6\LicenceServerInfo]
@="192.0.0.1"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sibelius Software\Sibelius 6\SerialNumber]
@="SCEWXXXXXXXXXXXX"
If your having trouble - delete them and the next time you run sib 6 it will prompt you for all of the relavent details.

Following the instructions for installing network clients I included the port used in the illustration with the IP as a switch with the installer ... but when I launched the program it balked at it ... so I just used the regular IP without the port and it carried on fine.
Probabaly not relevant, but it may help someone
