    Java Error Message

Can someone explain what is going on there ?
Is this a problem with the code within the website or do I require the latest ver of Java ? Also - what is Java trying to do ? Download class files or informing me the ones I have are not trusted ?

Is this the giveaway line ?

I think gsp has to do with this framework Groovy - GSP which is probably not included or registered correctly in the sites code. Kinda guessing though.

Thanks - as usual I'm getting it in the neck saying it's our fault when clearly it's not. I'm going to get a t-shirt made up with saying:

'I'm not responsible for third party web content'

I'm getting quite sick and tired saying it at the moment !!

Looking through it again is appears to be failing because it can't load this class file http://www.mathsnet.net/dynamic/jsp4...SP/class.class whether that is because its not there, their server is having a bad day or a proxy auth issue as it is a seporate connection from inside the plugin. I know that sometimes if the proxy requires authentication java will not keep the user context from the browser and will often cause a credential prompt. If this error is not handled correctly then it will just bomb. It may be worth testing if you can download the file manually and if you have a proxy that requires authentication putting that particular url/file on a whitelist that does not require authentication.

I know what you mean about the blame shift, I generally just redirect the blame bluntly where it belongs i.e. informing the complainent that our systems are fine and they should take up the frustrations with mylittleponey.com or whatever other critically important education site they are visiting that is having a bad day.

Yeah - their webmonkey needs a clip round the ear. That class file doesn't exist where it's trying to call it - I get a 404 when pulling it manually.

That url is only good up to http://www.mathsnet.net/dynamic/jsp4/jsp/ (which gives 403 forbidden) - /GSP onwards isn't there.
