Edexcel Online Exams
Hi all
I was wondering if anyone was experiencing the same problems we are with the Edexcel testing software?
We have recently updated the software to the latest version but now when a pupil user clicks on the shortcut to the programe it brings up an error stating that 'the data path is invalid'. After logging on as an admin i found the data path to be correct as i can run the software as admin user. Our pupil users are added to a power users group on the server to run the tests and so have all the correct rights, I have spoken to Cat Global customer support who advised me to change a permission on the ESM file in the registry but I am still recieving the same error.
If anyone has had the same issue an knows of any fixes/work arounds i would be most greatful.
Thanks
Phil

7th December 2009, 01:52 PM #2 We've had plenty problems this year. Still can't get the server to connect back to EdExcel since the software and IP changes.
After updating the server software, I logged onto each client as Admin, and followed the prompts to upgrade that PC. Are the students trying (and failing) to run the software on the clients before or after they've been updated...?

Nope the client machines have all been upgraded to the latest version too.
Everything is running as it was before, weve even tried rolling bak to an earlier version of the software we had archived but edexcel won't allow users to downgrade, you have to use their latest updates.
Thanks
Phil
