I am not a fan of Adobe Acrobat Reader, but V8 is here for the writer, and the reader is on its way. http://www.adobe.com/products/reader/ gives some info on V8 and it mentions deployability using SMS, and GPOs so ooooooooh how exciting for those who still use it.

I do hope that it gets rid of that damn "Acrord32.exe" error when you shutdown. Done it on many machines on different versions for years :/

I can't use the testingforschools.com online tests without pdf display being integrated into Internet explorer.

Is that the one where if you open a PDF via Internet Explorer that the acrord32.exe process is still running in Task Manafer even when you close the relevant IE window? If so, I've also had that problem for ages - since Windows 2000 and Acrobat 5 days IIRC.

I'lll give you a hint, just send a shortcut to the startmenu and host it from your server, as we averaged a new build every week a few months ago so its much quicker to just update the exe on the server than mess about re-deploying 3mb everytime

it still works for us and i just shortcut it and open it when i make the image and then it auto registers in the registry thats whats needed for PDFs and all seems well. I can count on 1 hand the number of issues opening PDFs i have had using that way so I must be doing something right I think
