    Education City

The South West Grid for Learning currently has a promotional link up with Fun Educational Games for Kids | e-Learning Resources for Teachers | EducationCity.com the software being promoted at a 25% discount.

I have not come across Education City before and wondered if anyone has any feedback they could share?

I'm thinking that it would have to be exceptional to capture any of our depleted budget!

We use it here for revision and homework - years 3 to 6. Kids love it, yes even when they have to do homework.

We used it a lot for KS3 SATs revision (before they were stopped) as something that was still revision but a bit more fun at the end of a long revision session. The content isn't as high quality as something like SAM learning and until pupil attainment is measured by cartoon emu racing it probably isn't 'high quality' learning. However it's ability to engage pupils is undeniable whilst still doing something that may resemble 'learning'.

We have had a subscription now for 3 years, and just signed up for another 4 years IIRC. Popular with the kids, and the teachers - they seem to enjoy using the site.

Its loved by the kids here (primary age), given a free choice they usually end up on it and no complaints when they are asked to use it to revise a topic.

We use it a little in primary. The new Play Live maths feature has gone down a storm.

Teachers use it all the time across all year groups (primary), has gone down a storm and has replaced many of the aging programs they were using.
