Hi,
We have all promethean boards in our school, however we have had a few teachers join us this year from schools that use SMART boards.
Does anyone know if it is possible to convert flipcharts between the two systems.

AFAIK, you can't.
Can't answer that directly as we only have SMART and no Promethean, but if you want to send an example file I can try to hit it with a hammer until it fits in!
Edit : Meh, ignore me! Just realised that you'd be wanting to convert their old SMART presentations to Promethean. Read the question back to ftont.
Not the best option but the only way I know off hand is to open the SMART notebook files into version 9.5 of the notebook application and then Export as a powerpoint file, this can then be re-imported into ActivStudio I believe. You will probably lose some of the interactivity in the process, as to how much I cannot say as we only use SMARTboards here.
Incidently, the SMART notebook software is able to import Promethean flipbooks although I've not tried it.

I smell a lawsuit.the SMART notebook software is able to import Promethean flipbooks

We are able to open 9 files at the moment.
If there is a way of saving as 9 files in 9.5 you can open them in AS2 or AP2 and PX
Hello
If you have Activ Inspire then you can indeed import notebook files. The software will convert them into .Flipchart (the standard Promethean Format).(Won't let me put an image in until I've made a post so I'll submit the image under this one!)
In Notebook 10 you can also go File> Import and choose a Promethean file. At the moment, as far as I can see, you can only import older Promethean file formats (.flp) These are from legacy software ActivStudio /Activ Primary V3. I don't think you can import flipcharts from the newer software (about 3 years old now) Activ Inspire. The file extension for these is .flipchart.
Hope that helps?
