AQA Just click maths
Hi All,
I was just wondering if anyone has this software installed on their network and if they had experienced any problems with the latest flash updates whereupon every other piece of software which utilises flash works.
Have sent log files off to software support but have had no answer for quite some time thought I would post here on the off chance.
Thanks all in advance.

12th June 2009, 10:25 AM #2 Hey, Afraid we cannot use it with the latest flash, we run the 4 maths PCs on the flash they include on the CD and then don't use it anywhere else, we stuck Flash 9 out and it broke, and I tried the latest Flash 10 and it was still broken I'm afraid. Its very flash fussy so for us with jut 4 maths rooms we have removed them from the GPO for flash updates and leave them as they are which they just about manage with. Tried JC support and they do know about the flash problems, there is a patch to make it work with slightly higer versions but it didn't seem to enjoy Flash 10 for me on my PC when I tried it the other week
So not looking too good I don't think.

John

12th June 2009, 10:34 AM #3 What are the problems you are experiencing? Ususally it is to do with the newer versions of Flash requiring an allow .cfg file to be placed in the Macromed directory in c:\windows\system32
We have it running here no problems with the latest flash.

12th June 2009, 10:37 AM #4 To clarify on that last post:
Put a file called *nameofapp*.cfg in:
c:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\FlashPlayerTrus t
(There is not supposed to be a space in the above path???)
For example AQAMaths.cfg
In the file type in the path to the application directory.

We have a package which is pushed out to the clients from the server called flash player trust have updated the *cfg file with the path to the flash content and will update installation tonight clients will pickup on Monday when they boot up.
Will test then and let you all know how it has gone.
